Your Friend’s Engagement + Sparkling Gin Dreamer

On Sunday night my best friend got engaged! This explosion of love ushered in the first truly springlike morning in Northeast America. The sun hit me in the face with its rays and I actually heard birds chirping. Watch out Cinderella.

I am pumped for a year plus of gazing at all of her beautiful plans (she’s a designer), offering unsolicited advice, and just the general sense of joy that will surround her and this event. I love weddings and I love when people I love are happy.

In fact, I’m so excited I had to make a cocktail to celebrate the occasion.

The Pairing

This cocktail celebrates gin, one of my friend’s favorite spirits and is an ode to her beloved French 75. We’ve come a long way from guzzling cheap vodka in the back of her mom’s Jeep.

I utilized rosé instead of champagne to commemorate the fact we were both simultaneously drinking the sparkly beverage when the big question went down {great minds think alike}. Also no drink says love like rosé.

Let’s celebrate friendship, let’s celebrate joy, let’s celebrate the hope that spring and love bring. Cheers!
